At SEYER, ethical and sustainable practices are at the heart of everything we do. Our work is guided by fundamental principles including ethical and sustainable manufacturing, responsibly sourced materials and sustainable operations. We are committed to continuous innovation, researching new materials and practices to extend and ensure an ethical and sustainable craftsmanship. Each of our accessories is handmade in small batches by skilled local artisans in Italy, using natural leather. This approach not only ensures exceptional quality but also supports the preservation of traditional craftsmanship.

ETHICAL & SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING

All our products are ethically handcrafted by family-run manufacturers in Tuscany, Italy, a region renowned for its rich, ancestral leatherworking heritage. Each SEYER accessory is handmade by talented local artisans that have been creating leather goods for their entire lives. We collaborate exclusively with trusted makers who share our values of socially responsible craftsmanship - ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and a commitment to the principles luxury should embody. Crafting a SEYER bag requires time, expertise, and the finest sustainable materials, resulting in a true work of art.

Each bag is composed of up to 70 individual pieces, precisely cut from our soft Italian calf leather. Once prepared, our artisans spend one and a half days carefully stitching these elements together, transforming them into a beautifully finished piece that exemplifies quality and artistry.

RESPONSIBLY SOURCED MATERIALS

All our raw material suppliers are located in Europe and operate in compliance with strict EU labor and environmental regulations.

Our leathers are responsibly sourced as by-products of the food industry, preventing waste and promoting sustainability. Sourced from Europe and the US, none of our leathers originate from regions at risk of deforestation, such as South America. We exclusively partner with Italian traders and tanneries audited and certified by the Leather Working Group. These tanneries are rated Gold, reflecting their leadership in sustainability, traceability, and social responsibility within leather production.

SUSTAINABLE OPERATIONS

We work with manufacturers and suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability, working together to minimize environmental impact.

At SEYER, we view sustainability as an ongoing journey, with a commitment to continually improving the sustainability of our materials and production processes and with the aim to extend sustainability across every aspect of our operations, including initiatives such as using eco-friendly packaging (e.g. FSC certified materials).
